August Open House
FRIDAY, AUGUST 28TH | 6:30-9:30PM

Join The Cathedral for a reception of their western exhibit, Out West, ft works by 9 local women artists.
Step into an evening where the myth of the American West gets rewritten by nine women artists, at The Cathedral's August Open House — featuring Out West, a group exhibition with Abbey Engrav, Anna Ganina, Anna Kamburis, Dorothy Nottingham, Emily Eisenberg, Emily Galusha, Eryn Brooke, Jane Reichle, and Sandra Boskamp.
[TICKETS]
About the exhibit: There's a version of the West you already know — the lone cowboy, the untamed frontier, told mostly by men, about men, for a very long time. Out West flips the script. Nine women artists bring nine distinct visions of the West together in one gallery, one night — bright, bold boots, cowgirls glowing gold in the afternoon sun, and wilderness full of wild creatures — all filtered through a perspective the western canon has largely left out.
Come see the West reclaimed — not through confrontation, but through the quiet, undeniable power of a woman's perspective.
Throughout the evening, guests are invited to move through the space, sit with the work, and feel what it means to reclaim a landscape through someone else's eyes. Connect with the artists, gather with Austin's creative community, and enjoy an open bar featuring craft cocktails, all inside one of the most distinctive gallery spaces in the city.
Want to go deeper? Don't miss the Artist Talk. Join us in the exhibit room at 7:30p for an open conversation with the artists of Out West — free and open to the public.

September Open House ~ Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 25TH | 6:30-9:30PM

Step into an evening that honors Hispanic Heritage Month as eleven Texas-based Latina artists come together under one roof, at The Cathedral's September Open House — featuring Sin Fronteras, a group exhibition with Amada Ané, Eliana Bernard, Hailey Marmolejo, Karmita, Laura Clay, Lys Santamaria, Maridad Studio, Mónica Ceniceros, Paola Rozo, Sara Palma, and Sophia Gonzalez.
[PRE-SALE TICKETS]
About the Exhibit:
This Hispanic Heritage Month, The Cathedral presents a group exhibition featuring 11 Hispanic female contemporary artists, each bringing their own visual language, medium, and point of view to a shared exploration of culture, heritage, and identity.
Spanning painting, textile, photography, sculpture, and mixed media, the exhibition resists a single story — offering instead many stories of migration and rootedness, memory and reinvention, inheritance and departure. Some works reclaim traditions passed down through generations; others imagine new ways to carry that heritage into the present.
Visitors are invited to leave with a broader, more textured understanding of Hispanic identity — shaped not by one narrative, but by 11 artists telling their stories in their own way.
Want to go deeper? Don't miss the Artist Talk. Join us in the exhibit room at 7p for an open conversation with the artists of Sin Fronteras— free and open to the public.
