Monica is a natural-born artist and has been drawing and painting since she was a child. In middle school and high school, she was recognized for excellence as a Student Artist, and was the National winner for the Scholastic Art Awards in the years of 2001 and 2002. She continued her education in design, marketing and merchandising at The Art Institute of Dallas and the Southern Methodist University in Dallas. Her passion for art allowed her to continue her hobby in Austin, Texas, where you can find her art in different local spots, including the International Austin Airport in 2013.
